According to the Larimer County Sheriff, the couple will be charged with misdemeanor charges, though he won’t tell the public any details just yet. He did say, though, that the midemeanor charge “hardly seems serious enough given the circumstances.” We agree.

So right now, according the the Sheriff, they’re probably looking at a max of six months in jail, a $750 fine or both– but they won’t be dropping this that easily.

A search warrant was issued for their home on Saturday night, where a couple of boxes and a computer were taken… what will they find?

UPDATE: In a press conference held Sunday morning, Sheriff Jim Alderden announced that the publicity stunt was proven to be a “planned event for two weeks,” and that the couple could serve up to six years in jail!

We feel awful for these kids, but the parents were asking for it! Especially after reading this quote from 25-year-old Robert Thomas, a friend of the family’s.

“He wanted nothing more than to get another reality TV series,” Thomas said. “And Richard said, ‘How much do you want to bet we could facilitate some sort of a media stunt … and we could do so with nothing more than a weather balloon and some controversy?’”

Say whaaat?

There was talk of a criminal investigation for a short time, but after speaking with the family, Sherriff Jim Alderden reported that the idea of the incident being a hoax was “inconceivable.”

Now, however, the family has been re-interviewed by CNN and it’s not looking good for this family. The father of little Falcon, Richard Heene, seemed very uncomfortable. He refused to ask his son any more questions about his statement and said he was “appalled” at the accusations.

According to CNN, the incident is being reviewed further, and we may be hearing some “breaking news” about it tomorrow.

We think the fame-whoring  family is just looking for more attention, and we agree with the people over at CNN… ”Someone’s going to jail!”

Seriously, they shut down airports for this. The poor boy is six years old, he’s probably so confused.

Nickelodeon’s news segment for children, Nick News with Linda Ellerbee will be covering a topic that has become huge in television lately– but not in children’s TV.

The special is titled “Kids in Rehab.” It will take a look at children and kids in their early teens who have suffered from substance abuse. Linda Ellerbee said of the new show:

“We live in a culture where drug use is glamorized, and celebrities may be sending a message that going to rehab is sort of like going to a spa. But real rehab is no spa. Some brave kids spoke to us honestly about their drug abuse, what it’s like to be a kid in rehab and what it’s like to try to live clean and sober after that. And it ain’t easy.”

While some parents think it might be good for their children to learn about drug abuse early, other parents are not happy with the thought of their kids being “subjected” to it so soon.

We think the show might actually be a good idea, but we can understand why some parents might be a little iffy about it. What do you think? Is it good to educate your kids about the dangers of drug abuse early on?

Miley Cyrus and brother Trace Cyrus of the band Metro Station have been on tour together since mid-September. Apparently, they’re getting in some real brother-sister bonding!

For the past few shows, they’ve performed a new song together called Hovering, which seems to be much more Metro than Miley. The two have been tweeting about it non-stop (Well, that is before Miley deleted her twitter…but that’s a whole new post. And old news.) and are talking about starting an entire brother-sister project on the side.

Though we’re not sure yet what we think of the song, we like this idea!

Trace tweeted of the new song:

“Miley and I really have a blast performing hovering together.”

Michael Lohan said of the judge’s decision:

“I’ve just gotten off the phone with the judge and I’m not happy. She needs to put my daughter in rehab. How could that judge have let her just walk in to court and walk right back out? The least they could have done was give her a drug test at the door.”

We’re not sure what we think of Lindsay’s fame-whoring dad, but we do think he’s probably right about this one.

Oh, and apparently LiLo’s moving to Texas.

So, what do you guys think? Throughout all of the affairs, money scandals, the Divorced Dad’s Club and exploiting of the children… who did you all remain loyal to? For us, it’s hard to say. With all of the negative attention Jon’s been getting, we almost feel bad for him…almost. But we’re not too fond of Kate, either.
